UHF COMMUNITY REPEATERS
Shared UHF community repeaters have been the mainstay
of basic two-way radio communications for business for many years, and Middle
Tennessee Two-Way, Inc. continues to offer this reliable, inexpensive two-way
radio communications service for many Middle Tennessee communities. Coverage
is typically countywide (and beyond) using mobile radios, and citywide (and
beyond) using portable radios . Each customer on the community repeater is
assigned their own privacy tone, to screen out other users' conversations.
Communications are limited to business matters, and monitoring the channel
is necessary before transmitting, to prevent interruption of ongoing conversations.
